Do you remember the Jim earthworm? The nervous, crooked hero first made his Sega Genesis debut in 1994 before making his debut on television two years later, causing a sensation as both an interesting character with plenty of humor to boot.
Today, Interplay Entertainment Corp is teaming up with the Performing Arts Agency (APA) for a brand new Earthworm Jim TV series.
This new series will once again revolve around our hero, a worm in a robotic suit that brings combat to an equally bizarre collection of enemies.
In this strange galaxy, fans can expect to see a plethora of new faces, especially as each planet is home to different anthropomorphic animals.
The main quest, however, in this TV series is for Earthworm Jim to find his way back to Earth.
A trailer interviewing our hero is available on the show’s official website.
Producer Michel K Parandi will lead the creative team, forming the hub of Interplay’s new TV and film studios division.

“I remember loving Earthworm Jim as a kid, and there is so much potential in this story universe: a galaxy full of animals fighting for power,” Parandi explained.
“Jim is an earthworm in a universe where Earth is nothing more than a myth. His struggle to find meaning is surreal and comedic, but it’s also relatable.”
Parandi is joined by producer Aaron Billet, alongside award-winning animation studio, Passion Pictures, run by animation producer Marc Bodin-Joyeux.
