DreamScreen HDMI Color LED Backlight System for Gaming and Entertainment (Video)

Rakesh and Kate Reddy have created a new smart LED backlight system that can be added to any HDMI TV and provides extra picture immersion when playing video games, watching movies, or just watching TV in general.

The new system called DreamScreen incorporates responsive backlighting technology that enlarges your TV by softening the picture and expanding the screen colors to the walls of your room, creating a more immersive and enjoyable atmosphere.

Watch the video below to learn more about the DreamScreen that used Kickstarter to raise the $ 25,000 needed to go into production. Its developers explain a little more:

DreamScreen technology analyzes HDMI video (a wide range of resolutions and formats) and matches the pixel color of what you are watching to the LED lights behind your TV. At a response rate of 60 frames per second, DreamScreen brings new definition to home theater viewing.

DreamScreen uses any TV setup with HDMI. All cable configurations like Comcast, DirecTV, Time Warner Cable, Xfinity, Dish Network, Verizon FiOS, Satelite, media players like AppleTV, ChromeCast, Amazon Fire, Roku. Slingbox, Nexus Player, Wii, DVD or Bluray Player and game consoles like PlayStation and Xbox can be used with DeramScreen. Just plug in the DreamScreen HDMI dongle, connect your lights and start the show!

The DreamScreen HDMI dongle below connects to the LED light sticks that are placed behind your TV. Everything you need to enjoy this product comes standard and all rewards give Backers the flexibility to choose any size.

The effect of DreamScreen is amazing, it enlarges your TV, softens the picture and makes TV, games and movies incredibly immersive. At a response rate of 60 frames per second, your favorite movie or game has just taken home theater to the next level.

For more information on the new DreamScreen, head over to the Kickstarter website for more details and to make a pledge starting at just $ 75 for early contributors. If you enjoy creating Raspberry Pi projects, this awesome Raspberry Pi HDMI input add-on might be worth a closer look.
