Actor Anne Heche’s eldest son Homer Laffoon has shared a touching farewell to his mother after her death.
“My brother Atlas and I have lost our mother. After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with deep, wordless sadness. I hope my mother is free from pain and begins to explore what I likes to imagine like his eternal freedom.” Homer confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital.
From 2001 to 2009, Laffoon and Heche were married. The ‘Six Days, Seven Nights’ actress rushed to hospital a week ago in a coma after colliding with a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles last Friday. She was suspected of driving while intoxicated.
Heche was found to have suffered a “severe” brain injury after the collision and was declared brain dead on Friday.
“Anne is probably – I’d like to think she’s pain free and enjoying or experiencing the rest of her journey,” Laffoon continued. “She came in hot and she had a lot to say.”
He continued, holding back tears, “She was brave and fearless and really loved hard and was never afraid to let us know what she thought and what she believed in, and it was always love. . It was all about love. So, goodbye, Anne. I love you. Thank you. Thank you for all the good times. There were so many. And see you soon on the other side. In the meantime, I have our son. He’ll be fine. I love you.”
Homer Laffoon is Heche’s eldest son. She also has a son, Atlas, 13, with actor James Tupper, who she was with from 2007 to 2018. (ANI)
