First Indian Kia Seltos w / Rear Seat Entertainment [Video]

Kia Motors launched its first Seltos SUV product in the Indian market last year. It was a huge hit and became popular among buyers due to its bold looks, feature-packed cabin, and tempting price tag. Seltos has been on the market for a year and now customization options and aftermarket accessories are also available. We have seen several modified Seltos in the past and featured them on the website as well. Here we have a video which shows a Kia Seltos getting rear passenger entertainment screens.

The video was uploaded by Musafir aka Joshi on his youtube channel. This is probably the first Kia Seltos in the country to benefit from this type of modification. The video begins by showing how exactly the screen is installed in the car. The vlogger went for a 12.25 inch android screen and installed not one but two screens on the back. The screens were installed behind the head restraints and their wiring was placed behind the seat and under the floor.

The wires were neatly tucked in and the screens were not connected to each other so passengers could play different videos on the screen at the same time. The screens can be tilted and have also been pulled forward to adjust the viewing angle. The Hypersonic display that was installed in the car also came with an ambient lighting setup.

The display quality on these screens was excellent and the fit and finish was commendable. The whole screen is an Android tablet that can be connected to the internet on the go. It supports HD videos and the images are very sharp. It is planned to connect the two screens using an HDMI cable, which will allow both passengers to watch the same content on both screens at the same time. Kia offers similar entertainment screens for the rear seats in its luxurious Carnival minivan. The aftermarket unit installed in the Seltos looks good quality and if anyone is interested in purchasing such a screen for Seltos or any other SUV the price is Rs 45,000 including tax. It is not clear if the aftermarket modification will keep the factory warranty intact.
