Hyderabad: IndiaJoy, Asia’s largest digital entertainment festival, will be held this year virtually from November 16.
The annual event is organized by the Telangana Virtual Animation and Gaming Association (TVAGA) and supported by the Telangana government.
More than 18,000 people from more than 50 countries were expected, the digital entertainment festival, in its fourth edition, brings together companies, business leaders, content creators, professionals from the gaming and animation sectors. , digital media and entertainment, and will feature VFX, OTT Pulse, Influencer Conference and DesiToons, IndiaJoy said in a statement here on Friday.
According to the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development of Telangana, KT Rama Rao, over the past three editions, IndiaJoy has played an important role in boosting the AVGC sector in Asia.
It has also helped shine the spotlight on the city of Hyderabad as one of the major hubs of the global digital entertainment industry.
The media and entertainment industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.7% to reach INR 2.23 trillion ($ 30.6 billion) by 2023.
The Telangana government has been at the forefront of harnessing the new digital entertainment revolution that requires a state to promote the use, adoption and adaptation of advanced technologies, the minister added.
