Local digital entertainment brand Evoke International turns 13

Sri Lanka’s leading entertainment brand, Evoke International Ltd., recently turned 13. Evoke focuses primarily on providing Value Added Services (VAS) to telecommunications providers. It also offers a wide range of innovative, data-driven and customer-centric products, including mobile and web applications, WAP products, IVR and voice services, SMSC, content aggregation, content production and digital media.

EvoPlay by Evoke is a newly launched web and app platform that allows anyone to access and watch Sri Lankan movies, teledrams, talk shows, music videos and other content without having to pay. subscription fees. Evoke also owns the mobile distribution rights to some of the most popular films and teledramas in the library of legendary archivist Tissa Nagodawithana, which spans from the 1950s to the present day.

Evoke is the entertainment partner of national connectivity provider Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) Mo-bitel Ltd. supplying its Caller Tune service to fixed line customers. Evoke works closely with the four local mobile operators as a partner in content and value-added services.

Since 2013, Evoke has been the local partner of India’s largest entertainment content repository, Hungama. As a local partner, Evoke has made it easy for thousands of Sri Lankans to access Hungama’s elaborate portfolio which includes more than 5,000 films in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Commenting on the journey over the years, CEO / Founding Director Lahiru Wickramasinghe said, “Over the past 13 years, Evoke has positioned itself as the go-to brand in Sri Lanka for entertainment content.
