NQ’s London Sessions will be housed in the new writing rooms at Abbey Road Studios…

In a historic partnership, Abbey Road Studios invited Manchester’s global full-service talent management and entertainment company NQ to be the first in a series of rotating collectives of resident artists and producers.

The new partnership will see NQ’s London writing and production sessions housed in the new Writing Rooms in Abbey Roadwhich have been designed to support the entire creative process.

This new relationship sees the burgeoning creative universe of NQ and the world-renowned recording excellence of Abbey Road Studios come together to form a single home for the next generation of British music makers. The two respected music brands unite in a common vision to support diverse and emerging talent across the UK.

Over the next 12 months, the partnership will see NQ’s stable of diverse talent leave its mark on the hallowed studio spaces of Abbey Road with monthly sessions in the writing rooms, as well as offering opportunities that will provide the next generation of young creatives, up-and-coming talent, or those wishing to pursue a career in Manchester and North West music, a gateway into the music industry.

NQ House was officially opened in September 2021 by CEO Michael Adex and self-confessed follower of Adex, Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham.

The former conservative club on the outskirts of Manchester city center is now a state-of-the-art creative hub, home to multiple recording and content studios, a media lounge, co-working and podcast spaces, a space private for members, as well as NQ HQ.

NQ House is also home to writing camps and recording sessions, as well as a luxurious, self-contained recording and living space for visiting musicians who travel across the city.

The NQ x Abbey Road Studios partnership begins with a week-long writing camp on May 23 that will bring together producers WhyJay (Aitch, DigDat), LiTek (Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Bugzy Malone) and Two Inch Punch (Jessie Ware, Sam Smith) as well as hot rappers Hazey and Arz in the newly opened writing rooms.

A stellar cast of established and emerging talent will showcase their diverse creativity for the duration of the partnership, leaving their mark on revered studios in the process.

NQ COO and Managing Director, Louis Brown, said: “We pride ourselves on creating meaningful opportunities for Manchester and the North West and creating value for our customers in everything we do.
