A resurgence in popularity allows Sunshine Coast Pinball to partner with a local cinema to create an exciting new entertainment hub.
Sunshine Coast Pinball has announced a 10-year lease at a new venue in the C-Square complex next to the Majestic Cinemas in the heart of Nambour.
The move will see the business, which has amassed a cult following, become part of the growing Nambour Special Entertainment Zone and the upgrade will include a kitchen, bar and longer opening hours.
The new 400m² site will also include a restaurant serving dinner and the bar will provide locally produced drinks.
Arcade owner Vaughan Jones says his regular customers are just as excited about the new venue as he is.
“We’re already getting great feedback on this from guests contacting us today and asking about the new location, the feedback has been great and for good reason it’s a great place” , he said.
“Pinball is exploding everywhere, everyone wants to play it and I think the opportunity to play it and enjoy great hospitality at the same time is the most appealing aspect of moving to C-Square. .”
The arcade will be open at its current location on Currie St in Nambour, until it moves into its new location in October as part of its co-location plan with Majestic Cinemas.
Majestic Cinemas CEO Mr. Kieren Dell said the move will bring even more fun and entertainment to the people of Nambour.
“Majestic Cinemas is thrilled to have this wonderful and iconic Nambour company join us in the C-Square entertainment hub and we look forward to the opportunity to work together,” he said.
Mr Jones says people’s love of pinball has led to the company’s growth, making this upgrade possible.
“It’s becoming quite iconic here and we almost have a cult following among our customers.”
The relocation will provide new pinball and movie birthday party options for children and families, as well as another space for private functions suitable for family reunions,
corporate events and even internationally recognized pinball tournaments.
“It’s great to be able to showcase our incredible collection of games in a first-class facility, central to the coast and easily accessible by train,” said Mr Jones.
“I’m just thrilled about it.”
