T-Mobile to headline Puerto Rico’s new entertainment hub

T-Mobile will headline the highly anticipated new entertainment hub in the heart of San Juan.

The project formerly known as District Live will now be known as Distrito T-Mobile.

The 475,000 square foot complex will include a VIP Caribbean Cinemas cinema, a pair of zip lines, a concert hall, a virtual reality game center and a range of restaurants.

The centerpiece of the project will be 14,000 square feet of LED displays, including one of the largest 4K displays in the United States.

“The people of Puerto Rico have shown such resilience as they rebuild themselves after one of the worst natural disasters ever, and we want them to know that T-Mobile is here to support them – this time, thanks to a huge 10-year investment in the region, “said John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile.” We are honored to expand our role in helping the community bounce back with Distrito T-Mobile – that’s okay. be epic! ”

It also includes the very first Aloft hotel in the Caribbean, which opened last month.

T-Mobile has signed a 10-year naming rights agreement for the project, according to Bob Newman, president and CEO of developer ASM Global.

“At ASM Global, we are delighted to have T-Mobile as our premier naming rights partner in this incredible new location,” said Newman. “We have worked closely with T-Mobile for years, which makes us confident in our ability to elevate Distrito T-Mobile beyond anything we have ever seen in Puerto Rico.”
