A minor league team takes advantage of the idea that the clubhouse is like a second home.
The Pensacola (Florida) Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Twins (Southern League), advertise their place, Blue Wahoos Stadium, on Airbnb for $1,500 per night, plus fees, for up to 10 guests. Meal/beverage packages, merchandise and “additional experiences” are extra.
The club’s announcement states that the rental is “the most intimate and personal baseball stadium experience in history.”

Availability is wide open as regular occupants won’t be returning for a while. There is a fear within professional baseball that the 2020 minor league season will be canceled by the coronavirus.

Without games, there is no income, so Blue Wahoos staff have found this and other ways to earn money while they are unable to fully perform their day (night) jobs. ). There was youth baseball tournament and a movie/fireworks night on Saturday alone (“Frozen II” was the film’s choice). Other events include weekend disc golf (PGA star Bubba Watson co-owns the team), happy hour, quiz night, and limited food service.
