The tech company considers its LCEVC license for low-cost use, depending on the size of the service, with per-user licenses starting at $ 0.01 per year. For entertainment video services, V-Nova LCEVC is available with two types of license, including intellectual property rights and software products. The integration license is free and is designed to allow device or chipset manufacturers, operating systems, browsers, in-house developers and encoder / player vendors to quickly integrate encoding libraries and V-Nova LCEVC decoding. The user license is billed based on the size of the service, measured by the total number of users. Above a lower free threshold, the cost per user is calculated based on volume and capped at $ 3.7 million per year.
